What is the Pepperstone Minimum Deposit

The broker offers 2 trading account types– the Razor account and the Standard account.

Both accounts have similarities and differences, but they both have the same minimum deposit amount.

So to start trading with either of these accounts, you’ll need to meet the Pepperstone minimum deposit of $200. This is amount that you need to fund your account with.

Of course, you can deposit more than $200, but $200 is the minimum amount required.

What trading account you choose, depends on which one fulfils your trading needs the best.

 Pepperstone Trading Accounts

Although the Pepperstone accounts both have the same minimum deposit amounts, there are some differences between the two.

Let’s examine in more detail what each account offers:

 Standard Account

If you’re new to forex trading and want access to respected trading platforms like the MT4, MT5 & cTrader, then the Standard Account is ideal.

For all Standard Account users, the broker offers commission free forex trading and competitive spreads starting from 1.0 pips.

The Pepperstone Standard Account minimum deposit is $200, and you can pay using a range of payment methods.

 Razor Account

If you’re interested in algorithmic trading, and are a fairly experienced trader, then the Pepperstone Razor Account is ideal for you.

Like the Standard Account, the Razor Account minimum deposit is $200 and you’ll have access to the same MetaTrader and cTrader platforms.

The Razor Account offers incredibly low spreads. For example, you can find spreads starting from 0.0 pips for the EUR/USD pairing.

However, commission is charged on your trades when using your Razor Account, so keep this in mind.

 Pepperstone Account Base Deposit Currencies

The broker accepts a range of base currencies, which means you can pay the equivalent amount of $200 in your local currency.

Which base currencies are available to you though, all depends on where you are living.

This is because the regional regulation can change what’s offered.

For instance, if you’re based in the United Kingdom or Europe, then you can use these base currencies:

  • GBP
  • EUR
  • USD
  • CHF (Swiss Franc)

However, if you live elsewhere and outside of Europe/UK, then you can access these base currencies instead:

  • AUS
  • JPY
  • USD
  • GBP
  • EUR
  • HKD
  • SGD
  • NZD
  • CHF
  • CAD

If your local currency is not listed here, you may have to pay a small conversion fee charge to convert your currency to a base one.

Generally though, we’re impressed with the amount of base currencies offered by the broker.

 Pepperstone Deposit Methods

There are many ways for you to fund your account, you just need to choose from one of the following payment methods:

  • credit/debit card
  • bank/wire transfer
  • local banking methods
  • e-wallets

All can be used to pay the minimum deposit. Please note though that some methods may only be available in certain countries.

Pepperstone also doesn’t charge clients when they make deposits, it remains completely free to fund your account.

However, your bank or card provider may charge a transaction fee, so stay aware of this, but this has nothing to do with the broker.

Here is more info on each of the payment methods.

Minimum Deposit with Credit & Debit Cards

For credit and debit card payments, the broker accepts both Visa & MasterCard.

It’s usually fast to deposit using a card, but you should keep in mind that a small fee might be applied by your card provider.

Therefore we’d recommend checking first the fee amount, but it’s likely to be a small one which shouldn’t put you off depositing with a card.

Minimum Deposit with Bank & Wire Transfer

It’s possible to make deposits via bank/wire transfers if you wish.

This is a payment method that is available to everyone, no matter their country location. Pepperstone does not charge any fee when you make a deposit, but usually for bank transfers there will be a charge for the transaction from the financial institution.

Also keep in mind that generally bank/wire transfers are the slowest funding type, so it might take 1-3 business days for the money to be accredited to your account.

e-wallets Pepperstone

One of the fastest payment methods are e-wallets.

These are digital electronic wallets which can transfer money extremely quickly. Currently Skrill, Neteller and PayPal are all offered as e-wallets.

Once you have completed the transaction the money should be showing in your trading account more or less instantly.

Alternative Methods

Pepperstone also offers a range of local banking methods as alternative funding types.

For instance, if you’re based in Australia you can use POLi or BPay which are both Australian payment companies. Union Pay is also available.

It’s just important to check that the service is available in your area and if there are any transaction fees charged.

How to Make the Pepperstone Minimum Deposit

Making the minimum deposit is easy to do and can be done within a few minutes.

You just need to log into your Pepperstone secure client area to start.

The secure client area is from where you can manage your trading account and request withdrawals as well as make deposits.

Once you’re logged in, click on the ‘funds‘ tab, then from the menu click on ‘add funds‘.

From here you can choose which payment method you would like to use and enter the total amount of funds that you want to deposit.

When you’re happy with everything just confirm the deposit.

The funds will then be processed and sent to your trading account.

If you have any problems with the process, the support team can be reached via live chat, phone or email to help assist you.
